How do I get started with TruePlate?

Contact our team at support@trueplate.ai to get set up. We'll create your account, configure your restaurant profile with your branding, and provide you with login credentials. Once set up, you can immediately start adding menu items and capturing 3D scans.

What devices support TruePlate?

TruePlate works on iPhone models with iOS 17 or later. For the best 3D capture experience, we recommend devices with LiDAR (iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models).

How do I capture a 3D model of a dish?

Open the TruePlate app, select a menu item, and tap 'Capture'. Follow the guided capture flow to scan your dish from multiple angles. The app will automatically process and create a 3D model.

Can customers view AR without installing an app?

Yes! Customers can view menu items in AR directly from their browser by scanning the QR code. On iOS, this uses Quick Look, and on Android, it uses Scene Viewer.

How accurate is the 'true size' feature?

Our AR models are calibrated to display at their exact real-world dimensions. During capture, we use reference markers to ensure accurate scaling.

Can I create my own account?

No, TruePlate is an invite-only service. All accounts are created by our team. Contact us at support@trueplate.ai with your restaurant details (name, location, logo) and we'll set up everything for you.

What format are the 3D models?

We generate USDZ files for iOS AR Quick Look and GLB files for web viewing and Android compatibility.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion by emailing privacy@trueplate.ai. We will process your request within 30 days in accordance with GDPR requirements.

Who owns the 3D models I create?

When you use TruePlate to generate 3D models, you grant TruePlate a license to use those models. See our Privacy Policy for full details on content ownership and usage rights.
